  • My fiancée treated me to a weekend away here for a birthday present. We arrived on the Friday afternoon and had an allocated parking space for the weekend. The pub was busy with drinkers and diners, but we were still checked in within 15mins and shown to our room. We ate at the Black Bull on Friday evening, and i can say that the steak and ale pie was one of the best i have ever tasted. The breakfast on Saturday morning was plentiful and extremely tasty. The staff service was bang on and the location of the Black Bull is absolutely perfect for people wishing to experience Haworth. Will definitely stay again. Thank you for a fantastic stay.

  • Two out of three of us ordered the Sunday Lunch, which came and was presented well and nice and hot! The only thing that spoilt our meal was the gravy was poured on the meal but it was a sparse amount! We asked if we could have more gravy as there wasn’t enough to cover the Yorkshire pudding! We were told NO unless we paid a further £2 each, and as the meals were around £17 I felt that this was a very mean way to treat customers! We refused to pay the extra as we felt the cost was enough to cover extra gravy when asked, only to be told that the gravy allocated was enough for the meal! Needless to say the Yorkshire pudding was like eating cardboard because of the lack of gravy that they allocate! It was a shame that our meals were spoilt because of a bit more gravy! It seems that they have been asked for more gravy before as it states on the black board that gravy is £2 for extra! But we didn’t think it would apply to the Sunday dinner as we have NEVER been refused extra gravy anywhere before! This was a nice meal spoilt! We wont be going again! There are other places near by that serve Sunday lunches and don’t refuse a small jug of gravy that would have made this meal perfect! 28th September 2025! I hope the management takes notice of this it just is a petty way to treat customers! This was the amount of gravy we were allocated and were declined any more than this without paying a further £2! I’ve never come across this before when eating out!

  • Right in the centre of Haworth this is a very old pub with connections to the Bronty family via there brother brother Bramwell. Today it serves good pub food that can cope even on big weekends like Steampunk. A big selection of beers and I suggest you try Theakstons Old Peaculiar. It has a great little outside seating area where you can look over to the Vintage shop the Souk or just watch the people entertainment or visitors pass by. Try it try the OP I am sure you will enjoy it. I cant tell you about the rooms as we have never stayed but everything else is great.
